St. Mary’s School is seeking an enthusiastic and highly talented first grade teacher. The successful candidate will teach religion, language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies to students in a self-contained first grade classroom. The candidate should possess a BA/BS degree (Master degree preferred) and state certification and have at least 3 years of experience. The candidate will be required to teach formal religion lessons, so he/she must also be a practicing Catholic familiar with the teachings of the Church.The successful candidate must also:- demonstrate effective planning skills by preparing lessons aligned to state standards- effectively integrate technology into instruction and learning activities- develop and use multiple forms of assessment and evaluation to ensure student growth- establish a system of classroom management which promotes self-direction, self-regulation, and a positive self-image- maintain an active and engaging learning environment- communicate professionally and effectively with students, parents, faculty, and administrationAbout St. Mary’s School:St. Mary of the Annunciation School is a Catholic community of learners living the way of Christ.
